Dan Osborn – Headteacher
I am proud to be the Headteacher here at Blenheim Primary. Having worked in schools across Greenwich, Medway, Kent, Bexley and Bromley for almost 15 years, I am an experienced senior leader . I started my teaching career in 2006 and joined my first leadership team in 2012. I have been supporting schools in a senior capacity since.  My main leadership skills have been around leading teaching and learning, safeguarding and increasing and improving provision for vulnerable pupils including those from disadvantaged backgrounds. I am also passionate about children having access to the Arts within education and trained as a primary music specialist. Prior to joining Blenheim as the Headteacher, I was a Deputy Headteacher. Prior to that, I worked at two other E21C Trust schools in Bromley in senior roles. I love working at Blenheim: the children, staff and families are fantastic – we have a wonderful site with great facilities and alongside my fellow local governing body members, I am keen to continue driving our school forward on its journey, always embracing our motto of ‘challenge, strive and succeed’.

Brian Sweatman – Chair of Governors (Link SEN)

I was lucky to have the benefit of a good state education that encouraged my natural curiosity and desire to understand how things worked. It enabled me to pursue a career in science, working in Research & Development for a large pharmaceutical company. Although now retired I still have a keen interest in science, technology and innovation, but also have a little more time to help a new generation discover their own talents and passions.

I have had the privilege of being a school governor for many years, firstly as a Parent and then Co-opted Governor at Gray’s Farm Primary School, where my children were educated, and now as an Appointed Local Governor here at Blenheim School. My focus has always been on the quality of teaching & learning, the provision for science and computing, equality of opportunities and special educational needs.

The ever changing trends in education require governors to continually gain new knowledge and skills if they are to support and challenge the senior school leaders effectively. I am determined that our Governing Board will rise to that challenge and support the school staff as they strive to meet the individual needs of the children from our community.

Our school is a safe and attractive environment in which to learn and we try to provide a curriculum enriched with extra cultural, sports or educational experiences. As governors we hope these will  encourage our children to discover new interests and talents that will enable them to become independent and successful in our rapidly changing world.

Ellie Salisbury – Staff Governor

I joined Blenheim Primary School in 2017 and I am currently teaching in Year 6 and have previously taught in Year 5. In terms of school leadership, I am an experienced subject leader particularly in Maths as well as Sports and PE.  I really love sharing my two passions within the school community whilst being able to drive these subjects forward into continuing success. I chose to become a governor in order to understand why and how changes are made and to be a part of the school’s ongoing progression.  I hope that my input ensures that the children’s needs and education continue to come first, guiding the school into a direction that best suits us whilst making the most of each opportunity. Alongside my roles at Blenheim, I am pursuing my personal passion for education and studying for my Masters degree in Education. I am focusing on how the child’s early lived experiences and social context influence their development and education, and how we as a school can support children as individuals. I am looking forward to putting my new learning into practise.

Matthew Lampton – Co-opted Governor (Link Safeguarding)

The reason that I wanted to be a school governor was to contribute and give something back. I strongly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve what they can, and a good education maximises both the choices and chances available – and as the first part of schooling, primary school is vitally important.

My work life is focused on marketing, which means I’m responsible for understanding what customers want and then finding a way to meet those wants, plus the communication part that‘s most associated with marketing.

I’m delighted that I’ve got the opportunity to help Blenheim Primary – I genuinely think it’s an outstanding school. I was impressed by the dedication of the staff, and the wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere when I first visited. As a father of three it’s exactly what I would be looking for my own children.
